Kawasaki Exhibits 2 New Models Including Z1000 at 2013 Milan Show

Tokyo, November 5, 2013 — Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. announced today that it will exhibit two new models at the 2013 Milan Show*1 to be held in Italy for four days starting on November 7.
One of the models to be showcased is the Z1000, a Supernaked bike featuring radical styling and exciting riding performance that can be expressed by the word sugomi (meaning "awe-inspiring energy and intensity" in Japanese). Its 1,043 cm3 engine delivers outstanding acceleration performance and a powerful intake howl, while the state-of-the-art suspension system SFF-BP*2 ensures a sporty ride.
The other model to be put on display is the J300, a scooter model perfect for urban commuters. The hallmark of a Kawasaki motorcycle is unmistakable in its sharp and aggressive looks. With a 299 cm3 engine and a CVT*3 transmission, the J300 offers a smooth and crisp handling that city riders will find satisfying. Its high-quality finish including the 3D emblem and exquisite painting around the handlebars add to the appeal of the bike.

Z1000
The Z1000 is a Supernaked featuring radical styling and exciting riding performance that can be expressed by the word sugomi. Its design features add up to create a dynamic form that calls to mind the image of a hunting predator: a four-bulb LED headlamp positioned as low as possible to accentuate its intense glare, a bulging muscular fuel tank, and a sharply raised tail cowl. The 1,043 cm3 liquid-cooled, 4-stroke In-line Four engine delivers increased acceleration performance and quick throttle response, while enhancing the sport riding experience with its powerful intake howl. The direct, sporty handling enabled by the advanced suspension system SFF-BP and by the unique layout that brings all mass closer to the center of gravity is sure to please even the most avid sport riders.
J300
Both sporty and high-quality, the J300 is a scooter model perfect for urban commuters. The sharp and aggressive form of the headlamp, reminiscent of a Kawasaki Ninja supersport model, adds a character that is unmistakably Kawasaki. With a 299 cm3 liquid-cooled, 4-stroke single-cylinder engine and a CVT transmission, the J300 enables a smooth and crisp handling suitable for city use. The suspensions are designed to balance riding comfort and stability, even on the rough surface of European roads. Meticulous attention has been paid to the finest details, including the 3D emblem adorning the front cowl and the all-metallic coloring of the handlebars and their surrounding parts.
