New Products Added to the KF Series of Explosion-Proof Painting Robots
Feb. 12, 2003
Kawasaki expanded its product line-up by adding five new models to its KF Series of explosion-proof painting robots in Japan during February 2003. The KF line-up has been developed utilizing the joint knowledge and know-how of both Kawasaki and the former painting robot division of Kobe Steel, Ltd. which was merged into Kawasaki in April 2000.
The KF series is comprised of a range of robots that are suitable for a variety of painting tasks in general industry. In addition to the compact KF121 which went on sale last year, we have added the medium-sized KF192 and KF193, and the KF262, KF263 and KF264 which have a long reach and range of movement that is considered to be top in the industry. With the addition of these five new models, Kawasaki can now tailor solutions that best meet users’ needs for automating the painting process.
In the case of the KF193, the KF263 and the KF264 that come standard-equipped with a “3R Wrist” which consist of three rotating axes, paint and air hoses can be incorporated inside the arm to the end of the wrist.
We have also extended our array of equipment for painting robots. These include robot traveling devices, line control boards, and other peripheral equipment in addition to package cells which have had the servo-controlled work conveyor/rotator and the paint device control panels upgraded.
